Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get the same results with Invisalign as I can with braces?

At The Orthodontists, you can! Visit our office to find out if you're a candidate for Invisalign.

Is Invisalign more expensive than braces?

Not at our office! Because we're a Preferred Provider of Invisalign, we are able to pass those savings on to you! Although our braces and Invisalign fee may not always be the same, generally the fee is very close to one another. Come in for a consultation and one of our talented doctors will be able to discuss which option would be best for you.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Although Invisalign may make your teeth mildly sore (similar to braces), there will be very little discomfort involved. The Invisalign trays are very comfortable and can be taken out to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

How long does Invisalign take and how much does it cost?

While every case is different, at our office the average length of treatment for our Invisalign patients is 12-14 months. We will be able to give you an estimated treatment time during your complimentary consultation. Invisalign is very affordable at our office and is similar to the cost of braces.

Who is eligible for Invisalign Teen?

Invisalign Teen is suited for patients aged 12-18 years old. Invisalign Teen includes replacement Invisalign trays (in case a tray is lost) and a treatment indicator to confirm that the patient is wearing the tray as directed.

How often will I need to come in for appointments?

Our doctors will need to see you every 10 to 12 weeks depending on your case. We will need to confirm that your treatment is progressing as planned, and may need to modify the treatment plan as progress is made.

How do I get started?

Simply call or text our office at 402-493-2268 to schedule your complimentary consultation! During this appointment, we can take a scan of your teeth and show you a simulated result of your Invisalign treatment.

How much do braces cost?

At The Orthodontists, we don't believe that finances should prevent you from having a beautiful smile. That is why we offer a variety of payment plan options including low/no down-payment, low monthly payments, and interest-free financing.

What kind of braces do you offer?

At The Orthodontists, we offer traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, Incognito (behind the teeth) braces, and Invisalign. We are the leading provider of Invisalign and Incognito in the area.

Do braces hurt?

At our office, we make your braces experience as comfortable as possible. Although braces do take some getting used to, we find that our patients adjust within 1-2 days after getting their braces, and have a great experience at our office.

How long do braces take?

Every case is different. Treatment can last anywhere from 6 months to 26 months, depending on your case. We will let you know the estimated time it will take to complete your orthodontic treatment at your complimentary consultation.

Do you have appointments after school?

Yes!

Can I play sports while in braces?
